Common questions

What is the difference between Cat5e and Cat6? +

Cat5e supports up to 1 Gbps at 100 meters and is sufficient for most offices. Cat6 supports 10 Gbps at shorter distances and has better crosstalk protection — ideal for high-density or future-proof installations. We recommend Cat6 for all new installations.

Do you work on new construction projects? +

Yes. For new construction we coordinate with the general contractor during the rough-in phase. We run conduit and cabling before drywall so everything is clean and accessible. We also provide as-built documentation for the building owner.

How long does a cabling project take? +

A small office (10–20 drops) can be completed in 1–2 days. Larger installations of 50–100+ drops typically take 3–5 days depending on building access and complexity. We provide a timeline estimate before starting.

Do you test the cables after installation? +

Yes. Every cable run is tested with a Fluke cable certifier. We check for continuity, length, attenuation, and crosstalk. You receive a test report and every port is labeled before we leave.

Can you install cabling in an occupied office? +

Yes. We plan cable routes to minimize disruption, schedule noisy work outside business hours when needed, and use low-profile raceways in areas where in-wall runs aren't possible.
